Burgers

There are actually some variety of burgers I can eat 2 at a time. But most of the time, eating 2 of the same burgers is a very awful experience. I like cheeseburgers, however, if I eat 2 cheeseburgers, that feeling/taste is not pleasant.

Burgers sold by a certain company with 3 letters in its name DON'T make me feel that way, which is excellent!

Which reminds me I ever tried to eat 2 servings of cheese fries at one go.

the City

Sometimes I wonder if it is possible in the future I can go to work in a off-place, an 'obscure' location. Instead of having to work in the heart of the city, where there is such a thing called traffic jam. 

I have lost count of the weeks I have interned at the current company. I felt that the people from the previous company were more friendlier. 

I had this urge to go and buy a mocha -soya milk drink, but the store is far from the workplace and I wondered if I should drink 2 servings of milk a day....

I am rather glad that I can watch the repeat of a ch8 drama on weekends currently.  

Sushi buffet

Yesterday was the first time I ate so much sushi at meal time.

We went to a Japanese restaurant with our project supervisor.

He has been very nice to us.

The title of this blog post summarises  what is happening now. A war.

This war does not only take place in the physical world which our feet stands on, LOL.

A war on the Internet. People express discontent by using 'violence' like hacking websites.

Internet, World Wide Web. What do they stand for?

Is it equals to Free Knowledge as coined by Wikipedia?

Or does it equate to Piracy and Copyright Infringement?  

Parallel Paths

There is this chinese saying that, the fact that you can meet some people in life, it is because of fate.

Does this also apply to those people who you have not met. The 'faceless', 'nameless' people in the crowded street whom you walk past everyday. 

Is there a chance that one day, you will know this 'faceless' people?

What do you say to those people whom you know, but who have walked at a path parallel to yours all these while? 

Comic Sans

If I am correct, I have made the font of the posts in this blog set to Comic Sans. There reason I use it because it looks rather informal. Its not like NEAT, STRAIGHT, CLEAN CUT. You get the idea.

Its informal, no need to be so serious.

Its a blog. Its a not a document to used for presentation in school or at work. LOL


I don't find the need to hate this font.

At first I was like

Not Strong

I remember the first time I saw this video entitled 'Strong' by Rick Perry was because it was on the front page of YouTube. I can still remember I was like 'what?' after watching the video. I wonder why he would say whatever he say in the video. 

Especially the part where he goes 'our kids can't openly celebrate Christmas or pray in school. '

Is this really true in USA?

Open Source Video Games

Apparently, there are such things. Look at the title of this entry.

So, what are the characteristics of Open Source software?

It also seems that some of such games are based previously released games. I think I saw one where they describe the game uses the engine of Doom 2, the first person shooter game.

The most exciting part I think, is there is even developer documentations for this games!

Toothbrush User Group

Recently, I realised there are such groups or organisations called user groups. One obvious example is Linux User Group. So people who use Linux will join, they will organise meetings to interact with each other. People of the same interest, essentially.

I have decided that I want to organise a user group too. It will be called the toothbrush user group. Everyone will be automatically registered into this group after I created it.

WHY?

Because everyone use a toothbrush. This is something common for all of us.

I will also organise an annual meeting. ToothCamp.

In this camp, we will talk about Tootbrushes. Below is a draft of the manifest for this user group.

Toothbrush User Group Act

Manifest Dated : 2011-12-01

Purpose: To globally unite people who use toothbrush.

Mission: The Group will be a platform for its member to share anything about toothbrushes. Information that can be shared can be and not limited to the following: Usage of toothbrush, Types of toothbrush, maintenance of toothbrush.

Communication: A meeting or gathering will be held annually to promote the aware of the group as well as to let the community flourish. All group members are encouraged to participate. Location of gathering can be traditional physical venues or on the World Wide Web. It is suggested that these gatherings will be titled ToothCamp.

Looking high .Staying humble

Sometimes I have to remind myself. Everyone got each of our own weakness and strength.

But sometimes I wish I was very capable, to be on top of the world.

Sometimes I tell myself I wouldn't just be an ordinary humble working class-person lol. As long as one can live
happily, there is nothing much to complain about.

There are also times when I wish I have very successful career.


I don't understand why I have these feelings from two sides.

How does one look up high and stay humble at the same time, and not let power, position, arrogance take over?



P.S. I didn't meant to keep using the 'time' word.

Stamps and Sources

When I logged into Blogger, the first they show me is a dashboard-like menu. One of the items in this dashboard is the display of traffic source to my blog, this blog.

I don't understand though.

The traffic source is a URL of what lawdegree.com or something.

The traffic source seems rather irrelevant, I cannot make a connection how that source and my blog content are related. 

I mean, I didn't mention anything about law in here. LOL.

I think today is the first time I bought stamps. Stamps used for postage. HA! There is nothing much to say about this. I was born in a time where technology is advanced.

P.S. Why is a stamp also called a postage label, and how is it the same as a blog label ? LOL 

Charger and Battery

In essence, there is something wrong with powering up of my laptop recently.The usage of the battery and the laptop charger, it relates to this problem.

I just got a new handphone. Its camera seems good.

Haven't been jogging recently due to the rain. But I did went to Jurong East to swim just about a few weeks ago with Kadim.

I have been watching the gameplay of L A Noire at YouTube. I was exposed to it the first time after watching TobyGames.

It is a fairly interesting game. There are some action scenes which I remember well like when Cole chasing a criminal inside a crumbling/falling film shooting venue.

The story behind the game is also interesting.

My finger feels funny.

New Interface?

O hai.

It has been quite some time since my previous post. The user interface of Blogger has changed. I feel its pretty cool. 

New and last semester is starting next week. 

I missed watching F1 yesterday. I reached home and it was the prize giving ceremony. But I was around Bugis yesterday and I could the hear racing vehicles in the night. It was the first time I was so close to the track. HAHAHA

Yesterday we ate at this 'paradise' restaurant. They have this wonderful dish which is fried noodles with the 'hand of pork'. 

Forgot to mention that I am continuing the same FYP this semester. I don't think that it is a bad thing.

Night of Awards

Yesterday night was the awards ceremony at school.

I got one no-big-deal award. Nevertheless, I was still very nervous when I walked on stage and I thought my smile directed at the camera was not very natural.

Of course I saw some classmates and former classmates.

No photos taken by ourselves. Though the school did take all our photos. I don't think I can get/access them.

I only saw one faci that I knew.

Getting this award, I have mixed feelings. Of course, I feel happy. But if my future performance is not good. Getting this award is not so significant. zzz

Confidence Downstairs

As of today, I can finally say the 1st FYP is over.

That is the 4 of us. LOL
I wondered If I mentioned this, but I am really confused whether I gave in my best this semester in school. Haiz.

I must chiong my studies next semester. If not the AA would not be significant at all.

By the way, this few days at midnight, there would be this man somewhere downstairs of my block shouting something I can't understand, but it is very loud indeed.
